Can anyone help

Can anyone remember the clip of a BBC newsreader who I believe was talking about helicopters and the MOD. He completely lost it in the interview and it took over 20 takes for him to finish. He was crying with laughter for most of the clip. It was in the 1980's I think and was shown on comic relief a few years running

That was Laurie Mayer, trying to record some cutaways, and failing. At least the interviewee would have left, and wouldn't have had to sit through it.

Don't know where you'd find the clip, though.

Didn't it get repeated in the likes of Outtake TV ?
