When was Sian Williams last on at One? I don't often watch it!
Sarah Montague is a dreadful presenter, along with Darren Jordon.
I remember some years ago Philippa Thomas presented the One - perhaps the Six o'clock news should be presented by Sian Williams and her.

I really like Philippa Thomas as well - she is back in Washington for a bit after being brought over to cover the May 3 General Election! Also on the correspondents front, I think Orla Guerin (now Middle East Correspondent) and Matt Frei (Asia Correspondent) are brilliant!

I HATE ORLA GUERIN!!!!! She is the most biassed reporter that I have ever seen! She makes me cringe every time she reports a story -- you don't know the true story when she reports it, but you sure no HER opinion of it. The BBC should fire her ASAP.

I have never ever seen her smile. I know reporters rarely do smile, but with Orla, there is never even a hint of one. I agree that the Beeb should fire the sultry Irish depressive woman, and let Sky News have her!

The BBC should escort her out swiftly, and replace her with somebody we can trust!!

Sian Williams was last on the One about a month ago. She did all the news bulletins up to and including the Six! The following Friday, Gavin Esler presented the One - they must have been desperate! He was actually quite good on his own on National News. Does anyone know where he comes from - his accent is annoying me because I can't work out where he's from!

u lot talk about moving presenters from news 24 to do national news, well shock horror news 24 IS NATIONAL. Sian williams and george allagiah used to be regular presenters on news 24 and huw edwards has done it a few times. i think fiona bruce has done it once as well

Yes, I know it is national news, but national news is meant referring to the national news on BBC ONE.
