You realise you're wrong, but you can't even be bothered to pop back and edit the thread title or the first post to correct it, eh?

Mmmmmm, I suppose that just sums up your attitude to the rest of us and the level of respect you have.

Don't be too surprised if we don't return all that much respect, then.

The reason BBC2 Scotland is weaker from Sandale is it's on 20kw whereas BBC 1 Scotland (Sandale) is on a large 500kW. As fa as I know BBC2 Scotland from Sandale filled in the gap of
Dumfries and allowed the SW Scotland relays which now feed from Sandale (running along the Solway Firth to Stranraer) to show BBC 2 Scotland. I recall the early 90s when BBC2 Cambret Hill gave us the delights of Cumbrian news instead, as the relays took their feed from Caldbeck.

Can anyone tell us if BBC2 Caldbeck has a less directional signal than BBC1 Caldbeck from the need to send a BBC2 signal to SW Scotland.

On an unrelated note, bring back BBC Radio Solway (or rather the opt out music shows they used to do around lunchtime) ! Smile

Or to put it another way: Allan, please amend the title of this thread by clicking the 'Edit' option above your first post in the thread.

All this fuss over a spelling mistake? Si-Co nicely put - that's all that was needed.

Everyone's entitled to the odd mistake - we're all human after all. As my occupation means that I would look at spellings, I know that it's easy to miss things or mistype (eg I can never type graph properly - always type it grpah!). Let's hear instead if anyone knows about how directional Caldbeck is please instead.

No, only fab people are allowed to make mistakes, but they never do, because they have the sense to pretend the mistakes never happened in the first place or blame someone else.

Indeed.

I NEVER make any mistakes and, should I ever do so, some bloke called Hewitt made them anyway, NOT me.
