From my limited time in Spain, there was a channel called TV3 with a sort of red triangle logo, along with the Antenna, also I'm sure there was Canal 9 or something too.
TV3 and Canal33 are the regional channels in Cataluña.
Canal 9 and TVV2 are the regional channels in Comunidad Valenciana.
If you are in Baleares or near the border of the two regions you can watch both of them.

On the subject of regional variations, does anyone know
1) When the South East region will split into London and South East
2) How many BBC regions have sub-regions (e.g. south-west - channel islands)

1. Believe Tunbridge Wells delayed until September
2. Currently three BBC regions have sub-regions, with a fourth imminent.
BBC East launched a sub-region for the West half of the region based at studio and gallery in Cambridge (Launched in Jan 1997)
BBC South gained a sub-region (broadcast from a second studio in Southampton) when the Oxford transmitter left the BBC South East region (in preparation for the new London and South East regions) and stopped carrying Newsroom SouthEast
BBC SouthWest have recently upgraded the capability of the sub-region in the Channel Islands. It used to be very basic, and just did a 2128 bulletin. It was recently upgraded (just in time for the move of the Nine to Ten) and now can include moving VTs as well! It is entirely based in Jersey
BBC North will be launching a sub-region from the Belmont transmitter from a studio in Hull (but a gallery in Leeds) later this year.
(Also BBC East Midlands was originally a sub-opt from Nottingham until it split completely and East Midlands Today was launched)
3. ITV News sub regions - I don't know exact details for everywhere - but:
Anglia have two full services for the East and West (with all bulletins split - though GMTV may not be now) Both broadcast from studios and galleries in Norwich.
Meridian have three full services, all from dedicated studios and galleries in Southampton, Newbury and Maidstone.
Westcountry have a strange set-up - Main programme from Plymouth, but very simple local sub-opts during the programme, but this is not for a single sub region - I think there are four or five sub-regions!
I know Central and Yorkshire also have either totally split sub-regions, or sub-opts. Not sure about other ITV franchises.
Here in Brazil, there are some more channels than in Europe...
here in Sao Paulo, these are the networks:
ch2: TV Cultura - Sao Paulo state government-owned station. Also provides output for Rio de Janeiro-based and Brazilian goverment-owned Rede Brasil.
ch4: SBT - Top-rated network on sundays, one of the commercial networks in the country. Has partnership with The Walt Disney Co., AOL Time Warner (USA) and Televisa (Mexico).
ch5: Globo - Rio de Janeiro-based network, famous by its 'novelas', soaps that end someday, like Mexican ones. Has partnership with News Corp. (Australia), Viacom, MGM (USA), Vivendi Universal (France/Canada) and Sony (Japan). Also famous for its 'Jornal Nacional' - 'National News'.
ch7: Record - Sao Paulo-based and Universal Church-owned network, is known by its daytime programming. Partners: News Corp. (Australia), Viacom (USA) and Sony (Japan).
ch9: RedeTV! - Launched in November 1999, it is known by its interactivity, but I see it's becoming each day worse. In 1999, the key was the quality of programming. But now...
ch11: Gazeta - Known by its daytime programming and their candid cameras, will introduce a news program this Monday.
ch13: Bandeirantes - Known by its sports coverage, is trying to reach a more popular-based audience.
Is there any USB or FireWire TV capture device for my Mac?
