OK, I'm going next weekend to CALENDAR (YTV) studios. I'll get to see behind the scenes and everything. What i'm going to try to do is get backing headline music as they said they'll copy it for me, and upload it. I'll also take my digital camera!
I can't wait!
I forgot to say:
I'm going as my friend at school, Vicky, her dad works there as a cameraman (head c/man) and he's letting me do the news (off air - d'oh!) with a working autocue and headline and reports. He's so kind!
I'll take a picture from where i'm sat, as I always wonder what they see!
The whole of YTV Studios in Leeds see me on TV! I hope the manager sees me, he might offer me a job in future. Then i'll move to BBC LOOK NORTH!!!

Hey! I hope you have a good time!!!

I've done presenting several times now on national and International television, and it is such a great feeling when you are sat at the desk....!

You get this really funny feeling like you are gonna giggle, but you don't!!!

You'll have such a blast, see if they will videotape it for you, I should think they would!

Cheers

Why, what, when?
When and what do you present?
WOW! I'm so jealous of you! I only get bloody Calendar!
Kidding, I will have a good time, and I hope they do record me!
Thanks.
But really, what do you present?

Try and get anything else you can! Its really cool that you know a contact in TV in person!

You'll have to get a video so we can all see you!!!

They should be able to video it for you!
It's fun presenting ... although I hope I don't laugh this Friday morning when I do UK Today Breakfast bulletins!

I've done some presenting before on radio and was convinced I was going to start laughing. Never did though.

And does this mean we're all going to be tuning in (and videoing) UK Today on Friday morning?

Any chance of you saying 'Hi to all at TV Home'?!

Nicky, are those bulletins live or all taped at once in the early hours?

Also, I notice the same weather presenter does the bulletin at say 10.59, then at 11.01 appears over on BBC One. I know it's technically possible but is one of them (I assume the BBC One) recorded?

Cheers, Asa

No, I've seen him a couple of other times on UK Today and I'm sure that I seen a report of his on Spotlight when I was on holiday in the South West a good while ago. Or did I just imagine that?

Nicky has Presented BBC World & News24 overnight, without the aid of an earpiece, and slightly (!!) out of breath.

Now that's a Pro! Wink

I tried my hand at presenting News at ten once...

...only downside was that it was at the MOMI, on London's south Bank.

Its a great place to go if your ever in London on your hols. Hopefully next time I trek down the A40 it'll be to a job interview Smile
