So, Channel 5 will have 2 early evening news bulletins to allow it to show a 'soap hour' between 6-7pm. Home & Away is at 6pm, Family Affairs 6.30pm. The ITC wouldn't let Channel 5 just move the bulletin to 5.30pm alone as they have to have at least one news bulletin during peak time. So now there will be 2. The 5:30pm show will feature all of the news and at 7.30pm you will get the main headlines and a current affairs element covering big stories.

That sounds like a good idea. Lets hope they treat us to some new graphics and that at the same time, because the current ones are dull dull dull.

Yes please! Bring back the old set - there was nothing wrong with it!

Yes and I think they could, from what I've heard it's still there.

Well, I doubt that they'd go back to their old look, but maybe a return to the newsroom is on the cards? I imagine we'll get some more dynamic graphics this time because of Channel 5's new obsession with moving and whizzing-round text on their trailers.

Also, who will present them? I imagine that Charlie Stayt will do one of them, and I'd put money on the lovely Claire Byrne doing the other, because she's rapidly becoming their number two at the moment.
