i don't know if anybody saw yesterday but c4 & t4 have lost their sponsors! t4 didn't have vodafone sponsors....
and channel 4 don't have the pizza hut sponsor on the simpsons anymore!

The Simpsons deal must have been a year long then, talking of which - isn't it time C4 showed a "new" series!

Can anyone explain why terrestrial broadcasts are so far behind Sky - I thought C4 might catch up by broadcasting new episodes every week, but they are restricted to one new series a year!

Sky have the pay tv rights to new episodes, channel 4 only have the rights for the earlier series. With Newer series episodes being shown on Friday 9pm

Finally! I can't stand they 'Who's in the hut' ads.

There's a 4 year gap between Simpsons shows being shown on Sky One and then being shown on terrestrial. Apparently.

Well If that is the case then there should be showing season 13 shortly, and when are there going to get round to showing season 7,8, 9,10,11 again I fed up with season 2, 3,4,5,6.
and will channel 4 ever show season 1?

I noticed Stella Artois didn't sponsor The Gift on Saturday night.

They are a bit random with films though - not all are sponsored by Stella.

IIRC the promos for the forthcoming Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers premiere feature the Stella logo!

I would have thought that there could well be problems with all the new flavours of "Four" channels, that sponsorship was now going to be spread rather thinly between them all.

There's only so much advertising budget to go round, after all.
