C4 Announcers

Is it just me or does Channel 4 have an extremely small number of announcers - 3 perhaps? Also, is there really any turnover of announcers there too? I'm sure the current set have been there since 1993.

Why would there need to be? The jobs getting done so what's the problem?

I'm not complaining - they're all good, but it's that stood out I can't actually remember anybody else.

The ones at 4 I can think of are, The 2 women who sound the same(and it is 2, not the same women), the women who also does sex tips for girls(VUYISWA NGQOBOUGWANA), the Irish man, the man who in my mind is big and bulky who likes to say 'Bla bla bla......................first on 4 big brother'', also the other man with a high pitch voice(on the day mostly), and of course Marcus now and again from big bro. That’s 7 then. The best is the Irish guy (If he is Irish, I don’t know) But he says 'Widya 4' instead of 'with ya 4'. (Well he said that ages ago and its stuck in my head)

He's the one who says Fil-um Four isn't he?

Well Tracy Ann Griffiths is the Irish lady on C4 ex UTV invision announcer .

There is also a girl there with a northern accent who is ex BBC 1 .
A guy called Garry who is on Plus too at the moment and i think he is ex Central .

Yes - him on Plus and 4. He's good. Like him.

One of my favs on 4 was Jane Copland who is rather plummy she does alot of promos at BBC and sometimes does plus .She left 4 when they went invision for a short time back in 96 she said she wasn't doing it and they said ok go then !!!! .

And I'm sure Marcus Bentley's day job is with C4.

I can never remember Marcus doing C4 - Wouldn't he be recognised too much?

He has done shifts there, but only a few, as a freelance. Yes his voice is too recognisable to do continuity, IMHO.
