First ever live announcer muddle up i've ever heard on c4 - she was trying to say "you may remember him" - she started twice and then said ill start again and carried on.

i dont realy know much about announcements but i thought they were recorded mostly?

Most people think that but BBC1 & 2, ITV 1 , C4 and Five all have live announcers...as does Sky 1 again I believe

Does anyone know if they all had live CA on Christmas Day or was it recorded?

Not long ago I heard the announcer on BBC2 say "And now on BBC 2, Newsnight with Jeremy Clarks... Paxman" which just goes to show that they're live.

Well thats what I was thinking, pad, as it would seem silly to get staff in on Christmas Day when recording it for one day would do the job just as well.

Network BBC 1 and 2 is mix of live and pre-recorded annos... the Nations are live.

As far as I know BBC 1 and 2 is mostly live... with the obvious exception of the news announcements at 1, 6 and 10 which are recorded.

I remember last month there was a real funny cock-up on Channel 4....

"At 8.00pm canine trouble in "It's Me Or The Dog" and at 8.30pm, we'll be "Cooking It" No, I mean..."

Classic.

Sounds like C4's usual wit, to me. Laughing

At least the C4 team can laugh at themselves though - I wish they'd ditch Marcus Bentley though - he's just become a parody of himself now!

"i've got David Cameron with me, who has been critised for bicycling home, only for a vehicle to follow him, to carry his paperwork.

"David, what were u thinking having that car follow you home - it is c***!".

lol.

*tip* jokes only work if they're funny.
