I've found some breakbumpers from this strand on ITV (or could be Channel 4, I suppose - but probably ITV), probably 80s(?). The logo is pasically a Pacman shape on a diamond shape. Does anyone know anything more about this strand - its dates, and which region(s) it went out in? (This bag of tapes I'm going through seems to be a jumble of Central, London and South regions.) If this helps, two of the ads are the Bran Flakes "tasty, tasty..." ad with a wimpy would-be boxing champion, and a Royal Mail ad with a woman writing to her son who's serving in the navy.

Was a strand exclusive to the TVS region (and Channel I should think) in about 1983 I believe.

From TV Ark:

Thanks to Dan for the following info :
'Afternoon Club' appeared in Autumn 1983, and as stated dragged on for 3½ hours, using a live audience element between the Aussie dramas and especially produced material.
The show included 'Vintage Quiz' (nostalgia from a particular year with Fred D and Lord M of Beaulieu - with a terrific opening sequence), 'The Community Show', replacing Sunday's 'PO Box 13', 'Strange But True' the station's first attempt at mystery dramas and 'Gossip' (an appalling sequence with Harry Fowler and Nigel Dempster).

In tandem with the show was the TVS Viewers' Club - not quite sure what the benefits to the viewers were.

Thanks for that.

I'm having a great time going through these tapes - I really, really, ought to get a TV card so I can share some of this stuff...
