instead, i'm sure i've got a signed picture from her Blue Peter days 
with her name spelt Katy, i've seen another sp error in a recent promo of someone's name too but can't remember what the prog or name were.

I noticed on the ITV Weather at lunchtime that they spelt Middlesbrough incorrectly as MIDDLESBOROUGH. It always annoyed the locals when I lived up there!
Teesside is often mis-spelt as TEESIDE (as I often noticed when getting on flights from Gatwick to there) they have since renamed the airport as "Durham & Tees Valley" I believe, so they can't make the same mistake anymore

Yep if only ITV's presentation team consisted of LWT and the presentation team of Central Television used to produce awesome television idents in the 90's, I think ITV1's presentation would have been more imaginative.

It's actually Durham Tees Valley. And it's crazy - people can't stand the name. The lack of Durham and so called Tees Valley might explain why.

As a Newcastle-born Tees Valley resident, I found the furore over the plan to name the airport 'Newcastle South' absolutely hilarious.
What were they thinking?
