Re: Press -as i explained earlier - the Nationals are "aware" of the situation BUT all my contacts have told me the same thing - "it cannot be reported on until proceedings are actually in place else we risk libel" (though one local London paper did report - i've since been told this is due to some keen reporters wishing to take risks to futher their careers & they also have less to loose)

There's no legal reason to stop the media reporting your allegation, in fact, claims of this sort are quite often reported (often around music copyright cases). The only time they wouldn't be able to report it is in the period between legal action commencing and the start of the court case.
Sounds like you're being fobbed off!

so i guess in nutshell - to change the law or to see justice - sometimes you have to break the law to do so - a sad but true fact in this country

Thats not really the right philosophy to take. It somewhat undermines your case for "doing the right thing".

Does one get the feeling reading all this, that really, this is a completely pointless exercise?

Perhaps the reason for your anger, is that you are angry with yourself for not doing more to protect your IP?

thanks for your opinions Smile

There is a legal reason for the press not being able to report - Libel - i've spoken to 4 Fleet Street reporters - it's all theory & practice (& if you know anything about big media you'll know it's all corrupt anyway) - in reality they are interested & you'll also know the first chance to pull a well known entity to pieces - they will - but we are talking BIG money & they wont risk it - there is no indication of being "shunned" as 2 of said reporters i've known for years & they would tell me if that were the case

"doing the right thing"
in a situation like this there is no "doing the right thing" - remember the women who chained themselves to railings to get the vote ?

so it's pointless to protect every persons hard work (whatever that may be) from being stolen & then being used to make huge money ? - fine - everyone is entitled to their opinion

i'm not angry mate - frustrated yes - at least i'll admit that - i bet you any amount of money if this happened to you then you would be frustrated too

it is not my work they have stolen - the guy who's work they have stolen is rather annoyed - & i dont blame him

my IP ???? - i cant really see what my IP has to with anything - i really dont care who knows it - very strange comment - no offense

ok guys all i'm doing is trying to get some justice for everyone - maybe one day it will happen to one of you - i hope it does not

in the meantime - i have'nt come here to argue or be angry - i've come here to discuss the current copyright situation & to get your thoughts & maybe put a different perspective on the whole thing

it's NOT about "Busy Buses" - Iit's about how MONEY controls other peoples honest hard work

at this rate nothing will be protected - so then the situation would then become "why bother to paint that beautiful picture" - "why bother to write that brilliant song" etc etc - UNLESS you have BIG money

so really we are talking fundementally about nuturing talent - & if this carries on i can see a very bleak future for all amatuer writers/poets/musicians/artists etc etc

IP [in this context] = intellectual property

I never said the principle was pointless, just the fact that posting to a forum and asking people to boycott the said product pointless.

Like has already been mentioned, a few hundrend people not watching or buying the videos is not going to have a significant impact, and if this is the best you can do, then you are not going to get very far.

i'm not asking anyone to boycott anything - not on here

ok - so what do you suggest the best course of action is ? (without dropping the whole thing)

Drop the whole thing and think of another idea before completely ruining your chances of ever being taken seriously by the tv companies?

Sorry, I didn't explain clearly. I meant that if you don't let this drop, you'll never be taken seriously by anyone in the industry if/when you have future ideas they may be interested in. Move on, or this will be stressing you out for the rest of your life!

i hear what you say Dan & thanks for the advice m8 Smile

there are 2 ways of looking at it - we have literally "extracted the urine" out of Chatsworth TV & Flick Films & Living TV - so at least we get a reputation for doing what we say & not being "scared" of said companies or ANY for that matter

we've got this far now so we may as well finish the job Wink

it's not stressing - it's FUN !! - LOL

Yes but then I know of people who've taken big media companies to court for various reasons. Even if they win, you rarely hear of them working in the industry again.
