While it is sad news, and Burt Reynolds was a Hollywood legend (and Mayor of Steelport), but to be fair this is a TV Forum, that mainly concentrates on TV Presentation - idents, graphics, continuity ... etc . . .

Ditto on BBC World. Billed edition of HardTalk was replaced with a repeat of an edition from 2 years back. Zeinab Badawi interviewing Burt Reynolds.

If the news is big enough that it causes schedule changes like that, it's worth posting.

Well they appear to have used that scene in the trailer, maybe to make those who had never seen it tune in thinking Burt had a much bigger part in it than he ended up having.

I'm not sure if it was already in the schedule (presumably not), but Smokey and the Bandit is on ITV4 tonight at 17:05.
