Burns Night

Just flicking around on SKY, I see that BBC 1 Scotland is using a special ident today to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.

I'd keep an eye on Northern Ireland from 5:30 too... and perhaps BBC 2 Scotland as well.

BBC2 Scotland already have shown a special Ident to Burns which was spotted by my good friend Paul Clark.

Nice to see the BBC finally doing something special pres wise in Scotland!!!

BBC Two's sub-par 'Window on the World' theme holds back these special idents to some extent but designers should show (or should be allowed to show) some more imagination than ending with what's basically a trail endboard.

But it's great to see special idents all the same and on a very pedantic note it's also good to see that they've used the correct channel fonts for the 'Subtitles' tags instead of opting for Gills Sans!
