The current series of Burn It has just finished over on BBC Three tonight and I have thoroughly enjoyed every episode of it!

Due to ITV2 type scheduling (phrase taken from whataday - circa UKG2 thread) there have been many airings of each episode per week on BBC Three and now the BBC are going to show it all over again in its entirity hopefully on BBC One.

It follows on in a similar vein as This Life but is more realistic and gritty. The storylines are great but the thing that hit me the most was the accurate writing and reflection of the lifestyles portrayed in the drama.

Everyone must watch this series once it is tranferred to a channel for the masses.

PS What did that last scene at the pub signify with the Bob the Builder music playing at strange speeds in the background? I think I know but just want it reaffirming!

If they show it on BBC One - will they start with series One, or just go straight in with series Two (that has just finished on BBC Three)? Or did Burn It series One go out on BBC One as part of the BBC Three zone?

I certainly remember some episodes going out. Not sure whether the whole series was shown though.

I watched the first series on BBC1, but the scheduling was quite patchy!

Watched a bit of the 1st series, but all of the 2nd series.

It was absolutely fantastic. Can't wait until series 3! I probably enjoyed it so much coz I have a bit in common with the people in it, being born in 1972, being really into the 'Madchester' scene of the late 80's and going clubbing in Manchester then.

Accordingly the soundtrack has been amazing!

Well done BBC Three!

The BBC Three zone no longer exists, so I'd presume it'd go out in it's own independant slot on BBC One or Two. Perhaps BBC One at 10.35pm?

Well lets hope it gets some proper scheduling on BBC One or Two this time around.

Also it was great to see a bunch of new actors being used - rather than the usual bunch of suspect. They used 'Gruey' and Ollie Simpson's daughter off Brookside!

Why can't it stay on BBC Three! If people want to watch it they should go and get digital!

I thought the scheduling was great. If I forgot to watch it on Mondays, or didn't get back from somewhere in time, I could watch it on Tuesday a bit later.

Yes I TOTALLY agree- the BBC Three scheduling has been great and has given the public many chances of catching the series. This is similar scheduling to which Whatday posted negatively about ITV2 in another thread. From my point of view that is the whole point of these 'extra' channels - to give the viewers extra chances of watching/catching up with episodes that they may have missed elsewhere. I dont think they expect you to religiously watch these channels for excessive periods but to watch them for the odd hour here and there. Just think if you do that with a whole group of channels you can still effectively keep a viewer within 'your' brand of channels.

Ie 19:00 7 oclock news BBC Three
19:30 Eastenders BBC One
20:00 University Challenge BBC Two
20:30 Some crap welsh type programme on 2W
21:00 Comedy programme on BBC Two

etc etc

So these other channels do play a very important part and dont expect people to watch them continuously and just offer an alternative oppourtunity to watch programmes people may have missed.

Burn it is a great series on BBC THREE. I really loved Series 1 (except Melanie B) and series 2 has been interesting too. This series has been really well made, complete with a fab soundtrack and great Guys and Gals staring in the show.

I suspect Series 1 might end up on UKG2 maybe next year. It will be a year old in February and would fit nicely into UKG2 in the 11pm Drama Slot where things like Cutting it are currently occupying it. Also, folk who don’t watch BBC Three but watch UKTV will get to enjoy it.

I think there is room for another series next year; it would be nice to tie up everything.

Lets hope the BBC show this series on a proper channel so the masses can access it!
