Not exactly a huge surprise. The one off earlier this year screamed "Pilot". If they do go head to head I'd watch Bullseye over Doctor Who - the most over-rated show ever.

As for Ant & Dec, they're not on TV that much, they only do 3 shows a year. I do think their bubble is close to bursting though. They're great on 'I'm a celebrity' but awful on 'Takeaway'. Bar the Morcambe & Wise tribute with Robbie Williams the never-ending Xmas special they did was painfully bad.

Terrible idea. The success of the Gameshow Marathon was viewers being able to look back with in a nostalgic glaze and just laugh at how bad shows like Bullseye actually were.

There is only one person (in my view) who can host Bullseye and that is Jim Bowen.

I reckon Peter Kay is the man for the job

Whilst I like Ant and Dec, bullseye belongs to Jim Bowen and Jim Bowen only (or perhaps Peter Kay!!)

But a) Bullseye was actually quite good and b) it's getting very reasonable ratings for Challenge at the mo.

My biggest problem with Ant and Dec's Bullseye is that if it's anything like the version on Gameshow Marathon, it will be really boring. There is *literally* no reason why Bowen shouldn't be bought back for it, especially as I imagine Tony Green will.

Well the Christmas edition of Saturday Night Takeaway was mullered by Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1. Only 5.9 million on the overnights!! Shocked

I think it'll probably do well but Doctor Who appeals to a totally different audience; however SCD appealed to the same type of audience and that's why it did so poorly.

Reality check! This story comes from the Daily Star. Methinks it may be a little premature to suggest that this is in any way actually going to happen.

True enough, but it's certainly something that's been rumoured for a rather a long time.

Note the easy-to-miss but vital "reportedly" in the middle of that article. The Daily Star has heard exactly the same rumours we've all heard, but has written them up as solid fact, and all Digital Spy are doing is copying the Daily Star's story and failing to even specify their source.
