Just seen this and this detailing Bullseye's relaunch on Challenge TV later this year.

It's being made by Granada, but I thought the plan was to relaunch it on ITV1. Wasn't this why ITV launched Bullesye broadband (which is still online).

I did read in Broadcast that ITV were thinking of "second showing" this on ITV1. It's a shame Challenge isn't on Freeview, at least it would gain a wider audience for this well loved game.

I read it in "The Mirror" last and was going to post but completely forgot. A few points I remember - Jim Bowen wont but hosting but wishes the new presenter all the best, whoever it turns out to be. Bully will be re-drawn and updated and the format will be exactly the same but with a faster pace.

It's good to see it coming back, but as mentioned I assumed it was going to be on ITV1, but as it has been widely said within the Media that the show will be made for Challenge TV, where it is more popular than Takeshi's Castle

I can see why they wouldn't want Jim Bowen to host an ITV1 version of the show, people who watched the original version will remember Bowen and know what to expect, but if you're trying to get this onto a new mainstream younger audience then Jim Bowen is hardly the guy, probably someone younger.

But as it will be on Challenge TV then I would expect Bowen to be back hosting it, the only people watching it will probably be those who loved the original version, if they're getting Tony Green, the same Rotating Dartboard, Bully and the shít prizes back, then why not Jim?

I heard the new presenter will be Peter Kay, anyone else confirm these rumours?

Can't see Peter Kay taking a job like this and I wouldn't want him to.

I can see his mates, Dave Spikey, Paddy McGuinness etc as possible contenders though... <<spits out tea>> TED ROBBINS! Smile

Ted Robbins does have a history of presenting gameshows.....

He used to present the children's gameshows that was set in Alton Towers (for the life of me I cannot remember then name - more than likely will come back to me at 2am tomorrow morning!!!!!!!), and then he has done a few daytime shows as well.

If it's being made on Challenge TV's budget I'd expect Ted Robbins is the most likely out of that list!

I believe the show you're thinking of was called "Hold Tight". Anyway, I thought Bob Carolgees hosted that show.

Bob Carolgees did most of the series, but Ted Robbins was normally seen introducing the bands until the last couple of series' when he was the main presenter!

Despite the fact Kay took the michael of the show on his tour, it does make sense for him to present it. Though I can imagine it being a bit corny if he did it.

I was always under the impression of the hosts being Ant and Dec.
