Well, i think it could be a good idea if they don't treat it like they did with Angel and actually put it in a respectable timeslot of about 8 or 9pm perhaps with the new season of Angel following.
However, hasn't this season of Buffy been repeated to death on BBC2? Hope it does well for them though.

There’s more cult drama coming to Five as we get ready for the first series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The opening season of this phenomenally successful show sees Sarah Michelle Gellar taking over vampire-slaying duties from Kristy Swanson,
who played Buffy in the feature film. Buffy is trying to get away from her role as ‘the Chosen One’, which will sign her up for a life of supernatural foedefeating, and has arrived in the quiet Californian town of Sunnydale. Unfortunately, Sunnydale is situated directly above a portal to untold evil known as the Hellmouth – and the über-vampire is about to be brought forth to cause mayhem. Realising that there is no way to escape her destiny, Buffy gets on with the job in hand with the help of her new Watcher, Giles (Anthony Head) and friends Willow (Alyson Hannigan, ‘American Pie’) and Xander (Nicholas Brendan). But can she carry on her sacred duty and live a normal teenager’s life? It’s not going to be easy, as she soon finds out.
This first episode, ‘Welcome to the Hellmouth’, also introduces Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), Buffy’s high-school nemesis; and moody, sultry
vampire Angel (David Boreanaz) – who both became stars of the Buffy spin-off series, ‘Angel’.
