BT Vision+ boxes do not feature DVB-T2 HD tuners and relay HD, BBC ONE England, BBC TWO, ITV London and Channel 4 via IPTV to it's Extra Channels customers, at least in England..

If there's anyone here in Scotland and Northern Ireland with this set up, can they confirm my suspicions that BT is offering 'out of area' coverage of BBC ONE HD England and ITV HD to viewers in these areas of the UK by this IPTV service?

There's no mention on the BT Website of offering the BBC ONE Scotland and NI services and the relevant STV HD and UTV HD services.

In Northern Ireland you get BBC one HD network, BBC TWO HD network and Channel 4 hd. There is no UTV HD or itv hd.

Yes I've just upgraded to BT Infinity 2 and I'm currently getting the HD Channels through the Infinity - BBC1 HD, BB2 HD, STV HD and Channel 4 HD, and also the Extra Channels which are also streamed through the Infinity.

Thanks for that .... STV HD isn't mentioned on the BT TV website, but it's good to see that at least Scotland has the correct service, if NI doesn't.

Do you have to be a subscriber to Extra Channels to get the IPTV FTA HD channels? We've just upgraded to BT Sport and have been sent a new Vision+ Box (we previously had an old silver one - and we do have Infinity) - will we get the HD FTA channels?

Quote:
HD Freeview channels are only available as standard with YouView. If you have Vision+ you will need Infinity and Extra TV channels to access these HD channels.

According to the Executive Retail team you need to have the Extra Channels Subscription which costs £15 a month to receive the 4 FTA HD channels.

£5 per month, not £15.

TV Essential includes HD

Bear in mind I've got the full package though which is why it's costing me £15...

DVB Cornwall what financial interest, if any, do you have in BT and it's products?

Do you pay the same for BT's television service that other customers would pay for the same service?

As an ex-employee I get no preferential deals. I do however know the routes to use to resolve any issues promptly though.

Yeah same here, either phone direct into Brentwood Exec or phone directly to the Newcastle Exec office....
