They must make more money showing Jackpot 24/7 at that time.

Think it gets an outing at a reasonable hour on ITV4. Be interesting to see if it's retain when they go to highlights only.

Some speculation that what we might see is joint BT Sport / beIN Sport Match coverage when this deal kicks in. Same content on BT Sport and beIN Sport's English Language services.

Does Gary Lineker still do that?

No, Keys and Gray do all the big football now, as their coverage comes from Doha rather than ITV Sport.

BT Sport Live has been relaunched as SportsHUB - with the logo and graphics looking somewhat more American than the previous, rather more reserved set.

And something else a little unexpected in this Friday's schedule: Fever Pitch. As in the film adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel.

That's an odd one. Setanta showed films for a while in summer 2011 when they were very light on programming but I wouldn't have thought BT Sport would have to resort to it.

Could be worse, it could have been the US remake, known on this side of the Atlantic as "The Perfect Catch"...

Surely a sport themed film is a better quality of filler than something like 'Gillette World Sport'?

It's not uncommon, I'm sure Sky Sports F1 have shown Senna at some point.

I think it's a good idea- sports movies on a sports channel. Perhaps they could show some more? When Saturday comes? Damned united? Mike basset? Days of thunder? Invictus?

The film went out tonight without any ad breaks, which was nice.

Sunday 14.00: Serie A - Verona v Juventus (rpt BT Sport 1, Sunday midight)
