Well it was famed on here back in the Ftn days for repeating The Krypton Factor and other various old gameshows on Freeview, before Challenge was available.
I remember Ftn mainly for Most Haunted repeats, and I think they broadcast The Tonight Show at one point.
Don't really remember watching much on Virgin 1, even Chuck.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was the only show that I remember watching which stood out on Virgin/Channel One.
To me however, there were a ton of shows that were worth watching though. Chuck, Takeshi's Castle, Ninja Warrior, Star Trek and a couple more were quite good.
Sure, Virgin 1 didn't have many quality programmes and had as many original commissions as Shane McGowan had dental appointments, but to say it was rubbish is really doing it an injustice. It was a brilliant addition to the Freeview line up, showcasing a lot of stuff you'd only find on cable and satellite.
It's predecessor Ftn was crap though. Up until about a year or so before it closed and then it started showing Krypton Factor, Crystal Maze, etc and upped its game considerably.
