...that's what it says on the BBC Entertainment page... a certain irony in thinking it could have been Bruce Forsyth as opposed to Fiona Bruce perhaps !

Or: £500 for this vase... higher or lower? Higher you say my dear? Oh what a shame my dear, because actually this vase is worth b*gger all. Never mind, good game good game [cue smirk to the audience jutting ski-jump chin out]

I can just imagine Bruce doing the infamous "The thinker" pose and knocking off a vase off a table or something. "Sorry loves...how much did you think it was? *stunned side glance to camera*" Laughing

As for Fiona...well she's already done her audition reporting on the occasional Antique thefts on Crimewatch. Also, eerie relation to Jill Dando...didn't she go on to present an Antiques programme before she died?

Thats 3 similarities to Jill, News, Crimewatch & Antiques. All they need is to bring Holiday back with Fiona and it'll be Jill the Second and hopefully not with the similar consequences.

Didn't Fiona take over as presenter of Antiques Inspectors on BBC Two when Jill died?

Well whatever the case, I do think its a bit sad over the years that the BBC have tried to resort to using Fiona Bruce as a replacement for Jill Dando. Perhaps by no deliberate fault. Jill always had a bigger personality in my opinion.

"Here you have a lovely suite of a Bakelite telephone from the 1920s, an ancient Robert's Radio from before the coronation, and this wonderful cuddly toy."

Will we have to now call it "Bruce's Antique Roadshow"?.
