I would love to see the 1st Bruce Forsyth episode of Have I Got News for You repeated again either on BBC One or Dave, for me it's one of the best ever episodes of the programme

I'm sure it won't be long before it comes round again, but I posted a link to the full episode on the first page of this thread.

Anyone catch the Brucie tribute pose at the start of The Papers?

Yes indeed. Very Happy

Brucie was featured in a video message to welcome RTÉ2 for Irish viewers in 1978.

Other famous faces included Liberace & Sammy Davis Jr welcoming the channel on the launch night.

The clip was featured in RTÉ's Reeling in the Years for 1978. I cannot find a clip of it on Youtube.

As with all these 'immediate' obituaries that's what you get.

I'm surprised, I would have expected a large news organisation like Sky News to have had something roughly prepared, and kept on file, given Sir Bruce's status, age and known condition of late.

The most interesting part of the BBC One tribute was what looked like a very early, perhaps pilot edition of the Generation Game, with Bruce sitting down at the start and looking and sounding like it had been recorded off a black and white TV monitor.

I didn't think the tribute programme was especially good, and it didn't really feature too much of Bruce actually talking about his career. It also tended to skim through the lows of Bruce's career which are arguably the most interesting. So I'd still recommend the episode of Gold's The Interviews over this. Hopefully they will schedule a high profile repeat of it.

I noticed it's available on Sky's On Demand.

I'll have to check Virgin's again, I thought I checked recently and it wasn't on there. In any case, Sky viewers you have no excuse not to watch it now! Very Happy
