Were they to lose/scrap Tess too, how about Angela Rippon and a younger male? Anton Du Beke would do I suppose but he would maybe need to tone it down...

Couldn't think of Television less watchable!! Plus Angela Rippon isn't Primetime Saturday Telly material is she??
Think Kate Garraway is available, so is Christine Bleakley, oh and I think Kate Thornton is also on the market. Konnie Huq has been quiet lately too and Fearne Cotton I'm sure would love the job. With the voice finishing and DOI also I'm sure Holly Willoughby wants more than This Morning. I hear Splash isn't coming back so Vernon Kay might dance his way instead of dive his way to the front of our tv screens. But of course now that Graham Norton feels he is too old to become a dad he might want company on a Saturday and Sunday night, rumours spreading say Alan Carr is going to be 'poached' by the BBC and of course Chris Evans loves to see himself on the telly so he's another contender and I almost forgot ITV is losing its Champions League coverage so that leaves Adrian Chiles without a gig so perhaps he should replace Brucie.....
...Please end this nonsense and close this thread!
EDIT: Oh darn how could I have left out Stephen Fry!
One serious issue has to be the lack of flow through of older presenting talent. Remember that the audience of SCD is made up by a considerable number of XF refusniks. With XF applying the Botox and rejuvenating cream, taking the age profile of the lead SCD presenter down below 40, UNLESS it's either Tess or Claudia as they're already known to the audience, would be a leap of faith. I suspect a leap too far.
Another name, probably too committed elsewhere who'd give the show some buzz would be Stephen Fry. He'd work well.
It's not just older presenter talent - it's talent in general. When a role like this comes up there should be a lengthy shortlist yet only a handful of names are seemingly in the frame.

Though Tess and Claudia are both aged over 40, so wouldn't need special dispensation anyhow.
IMO Tess isn't strong enough to carry the show from the front. She's always been good from the side, and as a pretty face on camera, however I think they need to replace Bruce, rather than replace Tess who fills in his shoes. It has worked okay for the previous episodes where she's covering, but long term I think it would have detrimental results of viewing figures. Plus didn't Claudia step down from it takes Two because of personal, family, commitments- that must still Remain!?!? Surely taking on the main show permanently would disrupt this?!?!
I also hope that the BBC take this opportunity to re-invent elements of the show- With the results show being brought back to a live show on a Saturday (which was changed because it would be broadcast too late for Forsyth) and that perhaps the graphics, Music/ band and studio get a facelift!
