OH
I would agree, except that that the digital developments also bring things like Telewest Teleport which allows people to watch (some) programmes anytime for a full week following broadcast. NTL will follow shortly, no?
I was able to watch EastEnders on Teleport before the eposides were aired in Scotland, due to a football match.
I'd be surprised if BBC Wales don't rechedule Broken News, but ultimately VoD should answer some of the concerns you raise.
By the way, I could always stick this weeks episode on VHS for you Owan.
I am not trying to be intentionally awkward here (much) but trying to bring to the forefront of what will happen in Wales once the analogue transmitters are turned off.
The BBC and the Government are trying to persuade people to go digital but these people will lose three hours a night of primetime programming that you are already forced to pay for - this needs to be addressed.
Why can't the BBC operate a 'press red' option on BBC2W each night where pressing the red button takes you to BBC2 normal - via the 301 or 302 spare capacity.
And for the people who say just go back to the analogue BBC2 Wales - why should I? I have just bought a new 16 x 9 widescreen flatscreen tv to watch digital 16 x 9 widescreen pictures - why should I have to refer back to an 14 x 9 grainy, analogue source?

Well the BBC (and the Government) are trying to persuade the public to take up a digital tv service so they can shut down the analogue transmitters and profit off the valuable bandwidth left.
I have taken up two digital tv options (NTL and Freeview) but with respect to the BBC2 service I have now lost a valuable tv service. I have been unable to watch any of the first shown comedy on BBC2 for a while now.
So the BBC want people to change-over to an inferior service!
This problem is not going to go away and will become more prevalent as more people opt for a digital tv service solution.
This is not fair.
