Ok,

Let's give this thread until the end of the month and then depending on the level of interest, I'll drop ASA and Hyma a PM on their respective boards and see what they might be able to do, and more to the point whether they'd be willing to try.

Chris.

*Ahem* I think you'll find that that man Gavin Scott is actually captaining the good ship metropol, not his scurvy engineer Hymagumba.

Incidently, the picture on the front page marking the analogue switch off tonight should be a different channel - BBC2 analogue from Selkirk went weeks ago

Good job I don't live up there, thought it was tonight. There's not been much fanfare about it

Me too. Would certainly be interesting for me. I'd love to learn about the techincal aspect of TV.

To be honest I'm a little bemused - surely there's been nothing ever stopping that kind of discussion from appearing in this forum? I'm always a bit wary about launching new forums - the Newsroom and Mock Designs were both born out of a significant number of related topics appearing which could be nicely categorised.

Whilst DS has had a relatively clear distinction between their Channels and Broadcasting forums, TV Home Forum is meant to encompass a wide range of television topics (apart from news!!)

Cheers, Asa

Sorry, but perhaps you should make sure some of your past and present, heavy-handed, "This is hardly anything to do with television presentation" moderators are aware that you have that view.

What you are now stating as your policy is what has made me fall foul of the moderation here on more than one occasion in the past.
