That second sport set looks terrible imo. Shocked Thank God World got to use the nice big one.

So the idea that BBC World News uses the second studio is not true then?

Isn't it what they will use if a clash between WN Sports Today and NC/BBC1 News Sports updates are unavoidable?

Thanks, not being a sports fan I never really see these sets. Am I right in thinking that Temporary Set is not permanently booked for specific shows, which means the BBC could be gazumped!

That happened a few weeks ago, when an extra Match of the Day was added as a late schedule. They had to use the second sports set as CBeebies had booked the studio that they put the temporary set in.

I think I like the Temporary Set best out of all 3

Well that is the flagship BBC Sport set, home of major BBC Sport studio based programmes. It just happens to be temporary as it's generally not required outside of weekends, so it's does't make economic sense to book out the studio on a permanent basis.

This raises the question of what happened on Sunday.
Final Score was broadcast was the temporary set until 18:00 (incl the BBC World 17:30 programme), but on Match of The Day Gary Linekar was seen to be speaking from the same set in MOTD colours to I think Vincent Kompany straight after the match. They did mention on MOTD that it was recorded, is there more than one area to the temporary set, similar to the early 00's set, or would they have asked the player to wait around until after 18:00, and after the set lights, graphics, etc had been changed?

I read in another thread that RedBee designed the Sports Sets, and BDA did the NWT/Breakfast thread.

So this begs the question...

Who is designing the new Broadcasting House sets?

Oh crap... Lets hope they do a better job than NWT. - Interesting that Jago haven't been brought in.
