I'm reasonably sure we have. Was there something similar in the last election broadcast from TC1?
Wow. Had we seen that circular screen thingy before? I think there's going to be some quite spectacular pres from here.

Do we know where the next General Election will be presented from? I'm guessing it won't be TC1 if all of the newsgathering resources are at BH.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't from TC1 - technology these days allows news gathering to happen in a completely different place to where you're broadcasting from. Besides, election night is gathering together data (which is carried out by the "engine room" within the studio and reacting to live events.
Unless they've got an eye on the big multipurpose studio within Broadcasting House - although I don't think this would be as a "grand" as the previous programmes from TC1.

I was wondering if they might use the atrium space, use the whole news centre as a studio - I think it's been said that they can broadcast from almost anywhere and not just the studio areas.

That looks fantastic. Could have multiple uses.
Would be nice if they used a newsroom shot from the programme titles with the bulletin number in that circle screen thing '1', '6' or '10'?

It's a shame the studio is tucked away in a separate little room within the atrium, because it'd be pretty awesome to have sweeping camera shots down from the circular LED rig towards the studio. Very CNN I suppose.

Though it's possible that the BBC won't own TC1 for the next election - and may not be able to afford to buy it (or a similar) studio out for the duration...

It used to be a Current Affairs production when they were based at Lime Grove, so I don't think that'll make any difference.

Good point, and if they did use the Broadcasting House newsroom then it would certainly retain the grand setting. Although I'd imagine they'd have to do a lot to ensure it looked nice along with multiple presentation points to hand all at once.
Personally, I'd like to see the election come from Fountain Studios with a live studio audience. I imagine it to look something like this:

I don't know if it's just my memory, but when we saw those renders of the new studios, did we ever see this image:

Beg your pardon if we did, I just don't remember seeing it.
