I think they should share them a bit more than just having the 5-8 BBC World shift in E. Assuming they dont change the shifts, my hope is they'll use it something like... MASSIVE FANBOY SPECULATION WARNING ...this:
Studio E - WN 5-8, NC 8:30-11, NC 11-2, NC 2-5, News at 6, World News Today, News at 10, NC 10:30-1.
Studio C - WN 8-12, News at 1, NC 5-6, NC 6:30-10, WN 10-1, OVERNIGHTs
Studio B - HARDtalk, GMT, WN 1300(or1500), Impact, WN 1600(or1800), The Hub, Newsnight
(During the gap between UK and US Clock Changes the WN at 2100 would come from E or B)
Nerdgasm over.
EDIT: i've just realised that its completely impossible to avoid the Stupid handover after the 10... hopefully they'll have Mr. Eakin at a barstool or something next to the video wall so that they can do a zoom out camera move at the end of the 10, and we don't have Huw pretending there is nobody sitting next to him.
I wish they would alternate between sets so that every channel gets to use every set. For example World could use studio E for it's early morning shift when BBC News shows Breakfast.

Studio E - World News Today
Studio C - NC 6:30-10.
Sorry, I don't think the News Channel should ever play second fiddle to World News. The BBC is the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation and domestic has to take precidence.

Surely BBC Studios and Post Production (formerly Resources) will be there for a (little) while after News leaves..?
Was in TV Centre last night. Gives me goosebumps every time.

I wouldn't think so, TVC is getting sold off, or so I think it is last time I heard...
I am hearing a rumour that BBC Worldwide may move into television centre... Can anyone confirm this?

I dunno - if the studio operation is going to remain for as long as it's in demand and profitable, there's going to be a lot of empty office space surrounding it which may as well be used. Perhaps they're just thinking about consolidating (if it is true)?
The whole west London property strategy is a bit of a mess at the moment, I've lost track of what the "official" line is!

It will probably be very strange for those who work/present on News channel the last week if it already feels empty now when pretty much everyone is still there.
I wonder how will the presenting shifts be on World weeks before they make the move, when all the regulars will have to do rehearsals at BH. Presenters will probably be all over the place.

The article has already been rubbished by numerous people working there for the lack of context. It was before the full security programme had been implemented.
Just another lazy anti Salford story!

Quote:
News that the BBC beefed up security at Media City in Salford may come as a surprise to staff working in and around Television Centre in west London - which has around five times the amount of crime in its postcode W12 7RJ as that reported in Salford M50 2EQ.
The Telegraph today reports on an email sent by Rhian Roberts, head of development at Radio 5, to colleagues: “I’ve been looking at on-site security on 5 live’s behalf following a couple of incidents – and also the reality that MediaCity is a different kettle of fish to W12.”
She said that staff could could have security escorts to “nearby car parks and tram stops”.
The Telegraph reports that a handful of BBC workers have fallen victim to crime in Salford over the last year, including: one employee shot at with an air rifle as he cycled home, a producer chased by a gang after confronting them as they tried to steal bikes and a security guard who was assaulted.
The Crime Map for Salford M50 2EQ for February shows 252 reported crimes including 2 robberies and 14 incidents of violent crime.
By contrast W12 7RJ, the postcode around Television Centre in west London, experienced 1307 crimes in February - including 45 robberies and 153 incidents of violent crime.
It would seem that Salford is a “different kettle of fish” from Shepherd’s Bush - a much safer one.
The Telegraph reports that the email was sent around last year, when the BBC was new to the Media City site and it was relatively deserted
