I doubt it, the Studio E renders seem to suggest a video wall similar to (but much smaller than) the one at Sky News Centre, only instead of Barco screens it uses 103" plasmas. There looks to be more than enough space to fit them in
I think the shot we're seeing Is probably going to be the wide, and the newsroom will appear on the right. There could be camera positions to capture guests, hiding in between the videowall screens behind what will probably be plexiglas.
I'm quite interested in the "World Targeted Programming" in Studio B. It would appear that Studio B is going to be used for GMT / Impact / The Hub / World News Today / Newsnight Monday to Friday.
Bit miffed about Studio C though, it seems pathetically small... i dont really want to see the words; "David Eades in the Broom Cupboard again on World" in the rota thread. Although Newsday would be fine from there.
I'm beginning to think that BBC (Domestic) News will be Exactly the same when it moves to BH which is absolutely boring and lazy.
Still, VERY VERY interested to see how all of these studios are used for real because i have my suspicions that the insiders are having us on.
oops should have put this at the beginning of my post...
MASSIVE SPECULATION WARNING
Wonder if any of the Studio E set is virtual (in the sense of dropping elements in that aren't there, a la The Daily Politics/This Week and the BBC's election coverage in N9)? Mainly the screens to the side. Might be a clever way of hiding the cameras in a space that doesn't seem huge.

My point wasn't that there wouldn't be room for the cameras, but that there unless Studio E is deceptively big, there wouldn't be room to have the cameras in front of the desk and not be in shot for that kind of wide shot.
Also, what's with the 'ring' in front of the desk?!

I don't think it looks any smaller than N8, and with a fair few bulletins coming from that tiny pod, surely this studio is better than that?

Yes Its 4:30am but before I sleep I did a little detective work...
BBC News Studio C Supposedly BBC World's studio:
and this image posted previously is the same studio... albeit rendered slightly differently.
...therefore i retract my previous statement on Studio C seeming small. In fact it would appear that Studio C is not much smaller than Studio E, and the two are designed in a very similar way, with what appears to be identical plynth/desks, and similar videowall/catwalks.
Huge assumption here... Studio C would be used for 5 o'clock news, maybe the 1 (so Domestic arent disrupted) who knows the possibilities would appear to be endless...

Oh, you big cynic...
I've seen these images too - though back in November, so it's possible that the designs have changed slightly since the renders were made.

The plus side of those rings is that they can perhaps better hide cabling or other things.
Some of the set design is very similar to the election studio.
Surely a circular set in a rectangular studio is going to leave a lot of wasted space? Still looks pretty, can't wait to see it. The only thing I don't like is/are the "rings" in front of the desk, looks like they'll be led cubes but they do rather block the desk.

Wouldn't the camera moving in a circle help make the studio seem bigger (and give the background a sense of perspective)? It would make for some nice shots.
