It is a shame we won't really see those lovely staircases on-screen. I don't think there are any the other end of the newsroom are there?
That does assume that they won't venture out of the newsroom occasionally. You never know.
Anyway here is what you get when you wave an iPhone about properly in the newsroom. Not my work BTW, and it's several months old - but still very cool.

That picture was from LJ's flikr - so one would assume that will be the view the news channel will get of the live newsroom to some extent (although the picture has been taken from the glass box above)?.

I think they're televisions. Perhaps three have some form of packaging on them.

Even from afar it's obvious that their dimensions don't match a regular television aspect ratio. Looking at the full-size image, it's clear that they have no discernible width and are set on lightweight wheels.
I think they're just movable dividers that - along with the more traditional red plastic barrier to the left of them - are blocking something behind them off from the rest of the newsroom.

Her Majesty will be at Salford Quays today. The place has overdosed on Mr. Sheen, by all accounts!
Good luck all.

I just found this picture on LJ Rich's Flikr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ljrich/5631925846/
It says on her text underneath 'view from media cafe - spiral staircase and the news gallery'.
I only comment because it looks like she's talking about the big glass box where the news channel is supposed be situated, but she says it's the gallery. Mistake?

HO
Could she mean the top-level, rather than the ground floor?
She also says here "this is where the news will be broadcast", which is a little vague.
