Radio 4 non-news production to BU location unknown (R4 news to Wood Norton). No idea where London TV is going, Millbank sounds plausable.

I thought it was R4 Con to Wood Norton - R4 news is at TV Centre so wouldn't be affected?

Isn't the TOTH news done by Continuity - just the news programmes (Today, TWAO, PM, 6 o'clock news and TWT) that come from TVC.

When you consider those who work at MediaCity will inevitably start referring to the streets as 'Red Street', 'Green Street' and 'Pink Street' anyway, I'm struggling to see the point of this?

I *think* some of the continuity announcers are also newsreaders, and on a newsreading shift are at TC. You generally get the Continuity Announcer handing to somebody else for the news, apart from before Today when the Continuity Announcer goes on to be the newsreader on Today.

Ha, just because you are old enough to remember too! And it's so much easier to say quickly than BBC London ninety-four-point-nine.

We do like a good TLA at the BBC.

Bush House is BU, not to be confused with BH Broadcasting House. The Broadcasting House Extension was known as BHX, BHXX was the extension to the Broadcasting House Extension. Thankfully this crime against architecture (and grammer) has been demolished to make way for the new building, and that's why we are having IST.

I could be wide of the mark there, just repeating what I've heard on the grapevine. I guess things will become clear in the coming weeks once parallel running starts.

Do we know whether it's the training studios at Wood Norton or the "other" facilities that they will be using?

Other facilities? There are no other facilities. I have no idea what you could possibly mean... Smile

Incidentally, the hotel there has gone out of business. Again.

Not a surprise. Last time I ate there the food was pretentious, yet very poor quality...

Arqiva OB1 due to arrive at Bush tomorrow. Looks like PTV are getting a bigger gallery than they have at BH!
