Looks to be a totally new building - it seems to be taller than the East Tower and it follows the curve of the doughnut whereas the East Tower was perpendicular
East Tower will be coming down later in the year, currently serving as offices for the (de)construction teams. All buildings bar TC1-3 and donnut will be demolished. The drama and scenery blocks destruction are well underway.
This footage from 2 months ago shows how little already remains...
I've been working in the area since the beginning of April. The last time I went here was in 2012 to see the final episode of Harry Hill's TV Burp. The place feels and looks very different indeed.
BBC Studios staff based in NBH and the other central London buildings will be required to move back to White City, Broadcast says specifically Broadcast Centre. Given that The One Show is a Studios production does this mean their old studio will have to be converted back from offices?!
At least hot desking will be a lot easier for those remaining at NBH.
Does anyone know what other than BBC Comedy is based at Grafton House? It'll be interesting to see if that will continue to be used once comedy moves out.
