The One Show were camera rehearsing outside a musical act but even somebody from the One Show team hadn't a clue who it was!

Not surprising at all. I've been involved with football OBs, and in some cases I couldn't have told you what the final score was ! Cool

I remember the BBC Shop at TVC not being exactly large either, which was purely there to pick up custom from those who did the tours.

When I went on a TVC tour 11 years ago you got a free copy of the Radio Times.

I'd forgotten about that, yes we got one in 2002 when we did the tour. Back then I remember thinking reading the London edition with all the variations was quite interesting, how times change...

I much preferred getting a "help yourself" copy of Broadcast magazine near the newsroom, much better than the Radio Times Smile

If only I'd known! Now that I think of it, I remember seeing stands for copies of Ariel, never thought to take one home.

Yeah I took some of those... I actually had a subscription to Ariel whilst it was still printed.

I did! Grabbed one on the fly from BH, and TVC.
And there used to be a collection bin of them before the security desk at the Media Centre opposite 201 Wood Lane.

On a Saturday afternoon trip down to London, get the right accomodating security guard, walk in, pick one up, and head for the door - no fuss!

Not sure if this is the right place, but BBC NI is on the move! Not sure where to yet.

Not sure if this is best here or on the YouTube thread over on 'Websites'. It's the loop that BH's Master Control Room put out in between feeds:

(someone on DS captured it from some online stream and has blurred out the phone numbers for obvious reasons)

How long has the lower level of TVC Been a cafe area just past main reception? When i did the tour there a few years back i'm sure it was where the newsroom was based.

I've seen the unedited version and not much missing out.

Now is this just a simple video as a barker channel or internal?
