Not sure radio is the best format for a tour of buildings though, even if they don't exist anymore.

I thought it worked fairly well. The tour was just a mechanism for linking together bits of archive made in various buildings.

When did the Television Centre lettering go back up on the side of TC1?

(EDIT: Or was it just the BBC element that was removed?)

It's only the BBC logo they took down, they left the rest up.

It's technically the Manchester Ship Canal which runs past MediaCity, which has flooded in several places due to the River Irwell. From the sounds of things that was the worst of it at Salford, however Leeds looked quite bad.

If there's any hope to be dished out, please direct it towards all the private home dwellers and small business owners in Northern England, it's unimaginable horror for them. ITV and Ericsson are big enough to deal with and survive any damage they might suffer

Notwithstanding what Mark rightly says, I'm hearing credible rumors that there is concern that the film and tape archive at Kirkstall Road may have been affected. Too early to say until their staff are allowed in, of course.

I believe there is some flooding in the archive.
