Good to see those signs survived. They'd been there thoughout TVC's entire life, it would have been awful to see them lost forever!

I guess it's also a good thing they saved the signs before the staff started looting them. If anyone can remember the stories from the last couple of weeks at TVC where audience members couldn't find the toilets because the signs had been taken!

One resource manager ended up having to write some directions on the walls in marker pen in south hall because all the signs had gone.

Was that similar to the Breakfast sofa and table in the reception area at Quay House at Salford ?
Myself and Mrs MM were given a tour of the building recently by a BBC staffer friend. We weren't permitted
to take a picture of ourselves doing a Bill'n'Louise on the real set, so we made do with the mock up in reception. It's good enough to fool anybody outside of this forum
So I was in reception at NBH today and I noticed the old 'have a go at the news' set and desk had been removed, the area looks rather dull now. Does anyone know what happened to it, is it no longer on the tour or was it moved elsewhere in the building?

Nice show on Radio 4 Extra today called the BBC Tour. Three hours of archive material presented in the form of a tour of BBC buildings past and present.
Didn't notice any obvious historical howlers, which is rare for this kind of show.
