The BBC TV Centre Satellite Antenna Farm has been acquired by Goonhilly Earth Station Limited and will be removed over the coming months and transported to Cornwall for use by the new owners of the majority of the Ex-BT site.

I thought it's functions has already moved to places like Brookman's Park? Presumably BT are just buying redundant kit that has already been replaced?

Not BT ... it's the new owners of Goonhilly that have acquired the kit for their own purposes.

BBC Breakfast has just previewed a new BBC ONE show for 09.15am starting this week, called Right on the Money. It's being presented from Salford, so Louise went to the show's set to meet hosts Denise Lewis and Dominic Littlewood. The set is part of the BBC Sport area. I've seen this used before for MOTD2 with Mark Chapman.

Denise Lewis, isn't she a sportswoman ? Is this more BBC cost saving, merging the business and sports departments ? Laughing

I think the focal point is supposed to be the art, and the films shot in Morocco - but people here might be interested in the venue: TVC's Drama (formerly Design) building.

it appears that one of the areas open to the public is the paint frame room, where backcloths were painted. Worth a visit, if you're in the area - it's a pretty cool space.

Also, I can't find a website for it, but there's going to be a rooftop bar on the top of the Multistorey Car Park next month. Perfect for views of Westfield.

Watched a bit on iPlayer, it's really not a very versatile set - the BBC Sport swooshes are still visible in the backdrop and the 2-shot looks pretty poor, even sticking a plasma screen on a stand behind the presenters would have improved it.

Can't help but think it would have looked better from London in Studio V, which seems to be the new Pres B.

I think it makes great use of this studio in Salford, which otherwise wouldn't be used at the time anyway because of the football season now over. However Studio V could be a good alternative anyway and could be used a lot better for this show.
