Here's two suggestions.
First, it's a tv studio as the floor is painted resin.
Small studio could be the Stephen Street studios just off Tottenham Court Road.

Or maybe it could be the Silver Road studios, given it's pretty much over the road from the Zeppotron/Endemol offices in Shepherds Bush.

Does anyone know where Weekly Wipe is being filmed this series as presumably the production team weren't given access to TC10.

Play guess the studio if you'd like - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOqG41gfrzQ&feature=youtu.be

I have no idea if that's even a plausible game to play though. Razz

All that programme is missing is a balding man with a big collar behind the desk! Laughing

Maybe a stupid question, but what the hell has happened to Studio D? Why has it taken so long to get this ready when all the other studios have been in operation for ages?

Also, will it just be used for BBC London? If so, wouldn't this be a bit of a waste?

When I visited NBH last year the kind person who showed me around didn't know where studio D was because it was was being used as a storage area initially while all the other studios was setup. Then I believe the equipment, or at least some of it, for studio D's gallery was being used for BBC London when they were in the studio now in used by the One Show. Now BBC London have been relocated to studio A I imagine the gallery and studio are being installed.

I believe an insider commented that studio D would be available to other parts of BBC News from time to time if required.

I'm hoping the 5 and 9 for the News Channel use Studio D - I'd like to think that's why the current VR is as bad as it is, they didn't spend all that much time on it as it's just an interim measure.

D is quite obvious. Its opposite B and does have a large studio scene door. Currently the gallery has been refurbished although due to cost, the studio itself was delayed. The studio will be the DR for other studios in the building. There are also plans for the studio space to be used for a couple of other pre-recorded programmes.

Is D a double height studio too? Also, there was a VR set used a while back that looked like the old Barco backdrops expanded into a 3D environment, IMO that would be better to use on the 5 and 9.

AFAIK Studio D is similar to A and C in spec terms.

It is the same dimensions. Spec wise, C uses Furio whilst A and D will use Shotoku.

This turned out to be the MPA for World Service TV News (BBC Russia, Turkey, etc) , I believe.
