TV Centre will be sold it seems. I suppose it was inevitable but sad all the same.

Early front runner in purchasing TVC, in my mind, Red Bee.

Why would Red Bee want it? Their core business wasn't suited to the building and moved out years ago.

It'll either be an existing facilities company - Pinewood for example, or a venture capital bid.

SIS and Peel Media, owners of MediaCityUK, have today announced a major new joint venture to deliver an enhanced range of production and technical services to the BBC when it moves to the new site next year.
The 10 year agreement with the BBC will see SIS and Peel Media form a new company to run MediaCityUK’s state of the art studio facilities, including postproduction, content and technical services, as well as manage all connectivity.
Harnessing SIS’s industry leading knowledge and experience in broadcasting, Peel Media has been able to increase the breadth and quality of the services on offer to clients at the Salford Quays site.

SIS has demonstrated its determination to being at the heart of this exciting new venture by beginning the process of relocating its production and engineering operation, involving approximately 100 staff, from its headquarters in London. The joint team will also work with the BBC, Salford University and other media partners to develop new technologies and services and help deliver MediaCityUK’s vision of becoming a world class
hub for content creation

So hoping the lower box is the News Channel studio with views out onto the newsroom:

If that is going to be the news channel studio - it looks tiny.

How can you tell? The picture stops before the end of the studio?

N6 and N8 are far from big...

There's been some debate about the perspective on these shots, but although that looks big enough to be a reasonable news studio, the ceiling height looks far from generous. N6 isn't enormously high either, neither is the Mailbox's studio which has a similar glass wall, but to me that looks Office Ceiling height...

It think has sound proof back walls and 2 soundproof doors:

Although the glass walls look like one big folding glass door.

It also looks fitted with office ceiling lighting?

Most studios have that as well for house lighting, so I wouldn't read anything into that alone.
