it may be worth mentioning that Arabic have moved back into BH, and BBC London will be going back tomorrow.

No distortion on the photo - it's the angle it's been taken at. The camera/mobile phone, is around 2-4cms from the floor, which gives that massive expanse of space.
If it was taken at normal height (6ft ish) - then the actual height of the celing would be interesting to see - I reckon that's pretty low.

Three sets of glass doors and one plate glass window between the rampaging oiks outside and a live news centre & Studio. If the police kettle the protesters in the 'U' exterior there is only one way to go. Millbank springs to mind - at least the pictures will be good Smile

It's the same at the moment. Perhaps they'll go for the TVC technique of making the building so bloody complicated, invaders will never be able to find the studio.

After just checking the web stream, Persian are back in BH as well.

I was just looking through some of the programmes on BBC Persian. Do the windows in their newsroom studiohave a special feature to them, or is that simply a curtain that has been put up?

BBC Persian - Hardtalk

What do you think they'll do regarding video walls/screens in the newsroom sets? Will it be a BBC World News arrangement with their Barco screen, or a projection like in N8, BBC News 24 era?

Persian have a few tricks. They've got polarising filters on their windows and cameras to allow the on-camera window brightness to be controlled. They have printed gauze cycs for the evenings, and also have an opaque cyc I think. The joys of having tab tracks.

That version of Hard Talk is visually a lot nicer than than the domestic TC7 version!

Has BBC London's radio station also moved back to BH?

If I remember correctly, the U shaped exterior isn't a dead end. There's a bridge between the Egton wing and the News Centre with a road underneath. So you can walk into the U from Langham Place and then turn right at the end onto Langham St.

Thought this made most sense in here:

TV Centre will be sold it seems. I suppose it was inevitable but sad all the same.
