Although to be fair, they're only now billing it as ITV Studios, possibly taking advantage of the fact that TVC is closing.
'ITV Studios' is the brand for their production arm, it's not actual studios.
Their studios are still marketed as 'The London Studios'

Are you sure they're not referring to them in the non-proper noun... ITV studios as in the studios of ITV? It would seem a bit silly to have the same name for both parts of the business... especially as some ITV Studios programmes aren't made at an ITV studio!

I think you're losing track of the point. It's not about corporate branding, it's the fact they are using the complex on air as 'the home of ITV' in the same way TVC was shown as the home of BBC TV.
It's A funny old world. The BBC moves out to reach the nation and sells TVC (which it owns) whilst ITV rids its self of the regions and becomes London centric with a purpose built TV centre (which it just bought back).
The BBC 'celebrates' this situation by hyping up the closure of a centre which it could make fit for purpose if it wanted to. They do this by having a programme hosted by Grade, a man who, as Director General left the BBC in the lurch taking its plans to ITV. He then closes the Yorkshire TV studios prefering to leave Emmerdale in an old car showroom. Of course his ITV tenure was an utter failure and soon after his departure the next chief exec reversed the decision prefering to refit a proper TV studio which they owned.
In a nutshell, I reckon saying goodbye to TVC is like signing a leaving card for a colleague who's coming back part-time after taking a nice holiday. An occasion worth marking, but not something to be too sad about, because the site will still be home to television for many years to come.
Was in TVC tonight, blimey it's true what people have been saying about all the signs being nicked. You're on your own if you don't know which way the toilets are.
