In addition to the Russian and Swahili service, BBC Hindi is, as of today, presenting a half hour news programme.

Video here shows the studio:

My question is: what studio is that? It's not the WS Visualisation (as above).

-> I went and answered my own question - it's the BBC Arabic Studio, which is weird.

A few questions:
Arrow The picture of the floor manager shows Focus on Africa on the Monitor, will Focus on Africa come from Studio B then?
Arrow Because on the original Studio usages it said Studio B would be for BBC World News 1200-1830 so does this mean that during the Summer Focus on Africa will come from Studio C instead?
Arrow And on the original renders they showed a fourth presentation area in Studio B where the music area used for Marr is, will this be used?

Yes.

IIRC Focus on Africa launched after the original Studio usages were announced, so likely they have changed. I wouldnt have thought it would cause any problems for them to stay in B for an extra 30 minutes seeing as how its unlikely that Newsnight need 4 hours rehearsal time.

I guess we'll find out in a fortnight...

Thanks for answering my boom question.

On another point, Jeremy Vine is giving us a little tour of his green screen studio he will be using for the US election. Shows some of the intricacies of the studio. Is it Studio A at NBH or is it at TVC with the rest of World News?

It's in the previously mothballed TC5 which will no doubt quickly become mothballed again within a week or so.

Is it a case that Studio A can't have a jib or just not available in the transition phase.

According to my source, a jib could be used in studio A, although isn't at present. I also have learnt that the TC7 jib has been relocated to W1, which when added to the studio B jib, gives a possibility of three jibs across the new studios(excluding the jib already in the separate Arabic studio)

Most of Post Production and Studios are moving up to Elstree Studios while the work goes on at TV Centre, they'll also be using the big studio (D?) at BBC Elstree
