Interestingly according to TubeTalk the makers of Heroes are pleading with ABC to let them end it after the second series as they don't want it losing it's audience like Lost has done.

You've misread it. The producers of Lost, not Heroes, are trying to get ABC to let them finish the show next season (it's 4th).

God, I did misread that didn't I.

Anyhow, my story is better - and if it doesn't stop the Great British Press, why should it stop me!

(And losing Lost as quicky as they raided the right would be exactly what Sky deserve too!)

I doubt that will end after the 4th, there is a chance it coudl end at the end of 5th

Because they're cheaper than commissioning their own shows, and they pull in ratings.

As for Kidnapped, only 5 episodes were ever broadcast of this series and only 13 were ever made. What will E4 do when this series suddenly ends with no storyline closure ???
Sad
NBC informed the producers of Kidnapped that the programme would be cancelled and asked them to wrap up the storyline. Therefore, as the series ends, the storyline will be completed. This is, of course, different from other series that usually end prematurely.

That's a relief, I've been watching it... I bet the ending will suck though.
