Why Does Babs ALWAYS collect the award?
You could see taking the pi*s out of Corrie.

Notice it was all going so well, until EastEnders won the last 3 awards that were 'chosen by the viewers'
On a presentation note, the programme was made by Carlton Television.

OMG!
I saw her in the audience early on in the show with Malcolm. So obvious she knew she was going to win as she wouldnt have gone otherwise, only other time she has been to the soapies was 2004 when she won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Still she did a good performance of looking shocked, well she is an actress! Her speech was so funny, made me laugh out loud several times. I loved the way she wouldnt let Malcolm get a word in, loves making award acceptance speeches does Barb.
Havent watched the last hour since I switched over to Big Brother so might skip the last 3 apart from seeing who made the shortlist for actor and actress - mind you the people Corrie put forward for actress are terrible choices IMHO. Sue Cleaver fair enough, but Kate Ford and Sally Lyndsay? I like Kate Ford, not so keen on Sally Lyndsay but there are others way better that deserved to be nominated. Sally Whittaker for example - she has been fantastic this year.

Theres something about Richard Fleeshman and Roxanne Pallett that really grates on me. ... their relationship just doesn't seem normal.
I take it that'll be the last we see of Johnny Briggs for the time being then?

Ive just been watching Johnny Briggs getting his lifetime achievement award - very well deserved, and nice that they got Bradley Walsh to present it to him. LOL at Bradley mentioning twice at missing out at winning sexiest male - well I voted him sexiest male anyway
Nice to see Hollyoaks get Best Storyline - the cast of Corrie and EE both looked P**** off when Hollyoaks won - but its just shows that Hollyoaks does get good storylines. Shame Warren Brown who played Andy got nothing though, I voted him for Villan (the only category that I didnt vote Corrie!)

the child in hollyoaks , Ellis Hollings, is a brlliant young actor and he's only about six.
It's about time the other soaps used their very young actors in real storylines. think back to when characters such as martin in eastenders or rosie in coronation street got big story lines, it certainly wasn't before they were ten.
the rosie bullying storyline in corry for example did we see little rosie actually bullying anybody, no, we just saw sally being told by the head what was happening, complete waste of a young actress.
that is why soap kids look odd, because they do nothing for a decade, regenerate and then suddenly get a life.
talking of young actors, why has the lad who plays david never been nominated for anything?
