It's time for the British Comedy Awards again. It is on Channel 4 at 21:00 and E4 afterwards. Presented by Jonathan Ross and probably the best thing he does all year, especially the first 10 minutes or so. Should be good.

Having just seen the trail for it, Jonathan Ross is wearing what is possibly the most gaudy serious suit jacket seen on mainstream television up to now.

I always forget what the titles look like, but I wonder if they've changed. Having just seen the general presentation in 2011's show in a video VMPhil posted in another thread, I don't think it needs to.

Is it possible there just not that funny.... the thing that got a proper decent laugh was the with "Harry and Paul show" picking up the award.

Been a funny show so far, it's returned to form over the last few years, although I'm sure they've just ramped up the booze levels.

Lee Mack's two acceptance speeches and Johnny Vegas being the highlights.

I thought it was DISGUSTING that they cut off the winner of the British Comedy Award for Outstanding Achievement during their speech.

Steve Coogan hasn't even started his speech yet

EDIT: are you psychic?

No, but television is so predictable nowadays. Unless you are a Channel 4 scheduler, then you will be taken by surprise at the British Comedy Awards overrunning every year.
