Any ideas as to when the Comedy Awards will be on this year? It's normally round about this week. I understand it's moving to Channel 4 (which will probably be better imo) and will again be hosted by Jonathan Ross. The new website hasn't even been "unwrapped" yet..

Thanks for that. Strange time. I'm guessing it'll coincide with a Comedy Season to fill the Big Brother void.

It will be interesting to see what C4 does with it. ITV have treated it badly for many years, it's almost as if they've wanted to hide it away. It;s been tucked away in a too-short slot on a quiet Saturday night followed by a dreadful ITV2 show. Hopefully they'll promote it more and give it plenty of time. It will over run no matter how long its slot is but they need to give it time to finish naturally

Only so much you can do with an awards show though isn't there.

Giving it a 9pm Saturday night slot on ITV1 the weekend before Christmas is hardly tucking it away.

It's not so much the content, that's fine... it's how it gets treated. Not having to rush through the last half because it's only got a 2 hour slot would be a start. ITV2's after-show programme hardly did it justice either

Before it's year off it ended up on Sunday night and I think it was on a weeknight once too. Even when it was on Saturday last year it was barely publicised. ITV were ashamed of it

Maybe because in 2007 there never broadcast it? over the scandals. I think It will be much better place on ch4, and it can give it a full proper 2 hours show

I agree, I think they only advertised a day before or something stupid one year, then Mr Grade cancelled broadcasting it in 2007 because of the competition scandal excuse.
