I thought Angus did very well considering.

"And thanks to our sponsors, they know who they are so i won't embarrass them by saying their names."

Highlight of the night was probably the genuine groans the greeted Ricky Gervais' win.

Angus was far funnier, but then again, there were plenty of opportunities for topical jokes I suppose.

Did they actually intend to have some awards on ITV2 or was the intention to have the obligatory 'Extra' show on ITV2, yet they over-ran on ITV1 and had to push some of the other less significant categories onto ITV2?

I just still find it amusing, that despite the history the awards have, someone decided to schedule them to be on the same night as live boxing, when it woudln't have been possible to over-run the awards as the boxing most likely was already set at that time because of ITV's scheduling as what happens with most telly sports events!

I did as well. I detected he was a little nervous, but I've always found Angus much funnier than Wossy-- I think he's wittier and I love his deadpan delivery.
Seems ironic that Wossy didn't do the awards because of a recent scandal-- yet we know all about Angus's peccadillos. Or as Frank Skinner said: "Your suspension has been dragging on for a bit, hasn't it Angus?" Laughing

I'm glad they booed Ricky Gervais, given his unbearable smugness and pretentiousness-- I've always thought he over-rated anyway Wink

Although this happened the last time the awards was televised in 2006 when the last 30 minutes of the show was shown on ITV2 although Liza Tarbuck took over the presenters role from Ross for the ITV2 slot. The 30 minutes on ITV2 had the awards that don't have the big impact they would on ITV1.
