That’s an interesting one. I wonder why this isn’t on ITV Hub and/or Britbox? Would make more sense - especially with no series this year.

Reminds me of Waterloo Road beings uploaded in full (officially) to YouTube a few years back, only to be removed when BBC iPlayer added all
100 episodes.

I notice they've found clean copies of the output where a number is given out after a performance, a much more low key "the vote is now closed" message on the YouTube copies, whereas when ITV and ITV2 repeated them it was only selectively clean - they were clearly covering up the original straps.

Is a strange one too, and the one with the "controversial" winner. Not a fan of the spoilers within the episode titles - and god, they're obsessed with Callum Scott. Seems to be remembered by producers as the greatest singer who ever lived and by viewers as someone who forgot the words on the live shows and then had a minor hit with a cover version of a Robyn song.

I know some Strictly series are on BritBox so you'd think that was the place for these.

Must just be a case of Britbox and ITV Hub not thinking there's enough value in buying it. Given that series 9 is almost 6 years old I would expect it's well out of its licensing deal with ITV. Fremantle must have considered it better value to put it on the official BGT YouTube channel and get a bit of advertising cash out of it than have it sat on the shelf making them nothing. Possibly testing the waters before putting other full series up?

Yes possibly, I wonder if the more recent series are still within their licencing deal, so maybe they'd back in time with any future uploads? Series 9 seems a slightly random choice otherwise, whilst I remember it as being one of the better series, as Brekkie said it was the one with the dog swap winner and doesn't really have some of the more memorable contestants.

Am a bit surprised ITV haven't put some previous series on the Hub given the year off. They've made some compilation shows but are weirdly airing them on Sunday lunchtimes when they could probably do OK in early peak slots. If they can air six weeks of Millionaire retrospectives I'm sure a few BGT clip shows would have done OK.

To be fair hasn't Calum Scott's album done pretty well globally? Does seem to be one of the more successful acts, I'm surprised he's never done the a result show performance. Although perhaps they aren't so obsessed after all given that they've not spelt his name correctly in the description (although they then do get it right on the semi final one).

Spoilers in the episode titles suggest they're aimed at people re-watching rather than discovering it for the first time, although I guess putting 'golden buzzer' in the video title increases the number of views (you only have to look at how disproportionately high the YouTube views are on the golden buzzer acts compared to the others).

Agree Britbox is the obvious place for it but perhaps they don't want it. Can't imagine it being of any less value than the 2019 series of I'm a Celebrity which is on there though.
