Visible here, another quip about Cheryl was made, this time spontaneous, and started by Simon. If you can't be bothered to watch, what happened was Simon said the performer (the impressionist), could work well with Ant, replacing Dec. Dec then responded with how 'he'd got it in for Geordie's this week'.

Also Mr Burling didn't just suddenly appear out of thin air on the back of BGT, he's a professional voiceover artist . Not a one-hit wonder

More commonly known as a failed actor. They both share exactly the same act - which shows how dated and unoriginal both are.

Umm, wow.

That was worthy of a thread on Digital Spy - you know, where all those people who know nothing about the industry they choose to pontificate endlessly about go.

I actually quite liked Paul Burling - no idea if that goes against everyone's opinion here, or just that of Brekkie.

I get the feeling Simon will either be back for the full hog or the 2 round, as he does not seem to be happy with the choice.

I don't think he'll be back at all next year, but I hope they keep the 4 judge format. It has grown on me over the week, I just think it was strange to start with. I'd like to see them throw Sharon Osbourne into the mix, that would liven things up a bit.

I think we get the idea. You just don't like impressionists.

Life is full of surprises. Next he'll be saying Tulisa has been dropped from the XF panel to make way for Cheryl!

haha wouldn't 'surprise' me ( get it Wink )

The thing is these "suprise's" are very predictable - but you can't help getting involved and speculating anyway. ( Well me at least!!)

Anyone got opinions on the directing/camerawork? I only caught bits of last nights but it did seem a bit ropey in places. Whilst at my parents even they commented on how there was too many wide shots, missing the action - in particular the young dancer, and how busy the background was making it hard to focus on the act.

Quite a few on twitter pointing out the camerawork including

Yeah I completetly agree. They always seem to have this problem on BGT, not on the X Factor though even though there in the same studio. Maybe because with the XF, you have the big screens behind showing someone singing on a long shot, when on a dancing etc act that isn't really possible. Plus with singing when you go a long shot you can still hear them, wheras the same can't be said on a non singing act. You need to see them!! Laughing
ALso they seem to have got I'm not quite sure what to call them , metal arches? which is covering at least half of one of the giant buzzers on the long shots.
