I'll only be watching whichever night Per Diem (the Scouse Tesco managers) are singing - and that's only out of loyalty cos one of them's one of MY direct managers!
Other than that, I really can't be bothered with it - and if a singer does win, can they please rename it Britain In Tune or something like that? The rest of the talent always seems to get sifted out cos it can't make Cowell as much money...

Signature got through because they entertained people. It's not about being overrated, it's about being entertaining. That is how people judge talent, by whether or not they are entertained by what they see.
I wasn't entertained by Dean Wilson. I was made to feel awkward.

Stupid British public.
Pretty predictable scenario - the awfully over-rated Signature got through, leaving probably the best two acts of the night to go head to head.

Simon and Amanda clearly thought that Dean would be a success regardless of whether they put him through to the final. A West End show singer (and one with a pretty good future I reckon at that once he's had some training) doesn't really have an 'act' or a unique selling point. Signature do, as does the dog. Sadly, I fear that both are more-or-less one-trick ponies.
However, it's great that ITV have taken the opportunity to reinvigorate the Royal Variety Performance and attempt to put the Variety back into it. And if they've revived the old talent show formula while they're at it, all the better.
